about

** PLEASE NOTE ** The UK Government now charges 20% VAT on digital downloads, which will be added to your donation ON TOP of the amount you choose to donate. Please bear this in mind when calculating how much you want to pay for this album. We don't want you to go into shock when you get to the payment page. Alternatively, to avoid this tax (which is perfectly legal according to Mr Cameron, if morally corrupt) you can choose the physical merch option which will give you an automatic download of the album in return for your donation amount of choice. Please don't expect anything in the post though, this merch is only redeemable at an Acoustic Amnesty concert.

This is a live recording of a full concert at Sacred Trinity Church, Salford on July 16th 2015. Featuring solo and collaborative performances from Little Sparrow (aka Katie Ware), Becca Williams, Leonie Kate Higgins, Raevennan Husbandes and Tracey Browne.

Selected performance poetry by Rose Condo and Louise Fazackerley is also featured, as performed on the night.

This is an ambient recording using six microphones positioned in different parts of the venue, as such you will hear human sounds like the occasional crying baby or person seated close to a microphone humming along. We like to think that this adds to the experience of being there at the time and hope that you enjoy listening.

All proceeds from this album will be split equally between Salford Womens Aid and Manchester Womens Aid, as they were the benefactors on the night in question.

Acoustic Amnesty in Manchester is run by Steven Lindsay and organise fundraiser music/poetry nights for Amnesty, Musicians Without Borders, Big Issue in the North and Manchester Women's Aid.

Often deceptively straightforward and shot through with a pop sensibility, Browne's material seems hand crafted to catch those fleeting, transient moments, the times in lives where the axis tilts, the season begins to change and the balance hangs... ... more
